Tracking my MINI Countryman :: Taking bets on which car carrier vessel my MINI will hop on!

CountryMotoring's MINI is currently at port of Bremerhaven, awaiting the shipping vessel. Other than that, we are in dark as there is no other information available, and left on our own, until our MA tells us which vessel our MINI is loaded onto. Well.. rejoice the power of the internet as right strokes of keywords on Google search reveal the possibilities! There are several car carrier vessel leaving Bremerhaven and heading to Port Hueneme, CA within weeks from today. Auriga Leader, Toledo, Martorel, and Aquarius Leader. (BMW/MINI utilized NYK-Line and Wallenius Wilhelmsen of the three shipping company. Not sure about United.) I am really hoping our MINI will be loaded onto Auriga Leader as it leaves the port of Bremerhaven in two days! Read more for the source of vessel schedules.

HOW to find out the schedule of car carrier vessles

1. Go to dbh Logistic Ship Information System page

2. Enter your port name under Export Ship Information (Port Hueneme for California and other southwest states, Tacoma for northwest states. For eastcoast, New York (actually New Jersey), Baltimore, Charleston, Brunswick, or Galveston => Ask your MA) Then pick Vehicle Carrier under Type of Vessel.

3. Click on port name

4. Start a guessing game on which car carrier vessel your MINI will be on!

  1. That's interesting. If mine ends up on the Independence II on Friday it should arrive in Charleston two days earlier than if it ends up on the Bess today. Bess must be hella slow or be making more stops.

If it doesn't make it onto one of those, it could end up arriving a lot later.

  2. So Independence II should be better than Bess? I hope your MINI gets on it!

  3. Thanks for finding a source that covers NYK-Line and WW - now if only we could peek at the ship's manifest for each to confirm passage...

  4. Hey Aaron, bro you really covered all angles. Your dealer can go into a screen to know exactly what vessel it is on. I had a BMW ordered recently and it sailed on the Don Quoite. BMW's don't normally sail on NYK lines, but do you know otherwise? Have you been able to confirm it's on Auriga Leader?
