Today is D-Day!

Today is D-Day - Delivery Day! I must say, I am quite excited. While, the rumors of May 21"Dooms Day" might have frightened some, I had a great night of sleep without a worry in my mind and actually dreamed about the delivery of my Countryman! In last night's dream, I took out the car for a ride at the dealership and found out it was missing Anthracite Headliner and Premium Package. Now that was frightening! Any ways, everything should be arranged and ready to go at the dealership. We plan to get to the dealership by public transportation - Metro and some walking! While it will take little over 2 hours to get there, all of us can take a ride back home in a new Countryman rather than 2 separate cars. It is going to be an exciting, adventurous day!

  2. Yay! That "end of the world" business is such nonsense, huh? My surf blue baby was supposed to be at our dealer sometime next week after arriving on the Martorell last Thurs. at Port Hueneme but we got a call from our dealer last night saying the car is at the dealer as of yesterday??! Now I am wondering if we were tracking the wrong ship since I can't imagine it only spent one day at port and made it the five hour drive to the bay area the same day. We go Sunday afternoon to pick it up! We have waited 12 weeks so I am ready to motor!!

    Happy motoring :)

  4. Good on ya, Aaron. Congratulations and happy motoring. Great looking CM. Where's the roof rack and the surf board? What's with the missing anthracite headliner and Premium Package? Did the dealer have the missing items and install them, or do you have a rain check?? I am really looking forward to hearing the 10 speaker Harman Kardon in the CM. Meanwhile, even though we arrived together on the Auriga Leader, our "Grasshopper" is stuck at the VDC until 27 May awaiting port installed accessories. Bummer! MINI is having trouble betting parts and transmissions from Japan....

  5. Arron~~ My bad! Misread your post and now realize that the missing headliner and Premium Package were in your dream. Now, that was a bad dream! I'm sure you had a happy motoring day going home from the dealer.

Thank you! Roof Rack and surf board... one of these days ;) The HK system is very sweet. Great sounds quality. The extra wait definitely be worth it for getting exact options you want! What items are you getting if you don't mind? Can't wait to see Grasshopper.

  9. Hi, Aaron,

Congrats! Please post more photos and details about the delivery process. We ordered our Surf Blue CMS on 4/21/11 and have discovered that it is on the Grand Neptune (thanks to your helpful posts on the shipping process). It's due to arrive in Port Hueneme on 6/8/11. My MA said it should be at the dealership in 3-4 days afterwards. We'll see . . .

    We can't wait!!
