MY Changes for 2012 MINI Countryman. 2012MY Order Guide [UPDATE]

MINI has small changes in store for MY (Model Year) 2012 MINI Countryman. While there isn't much information on when the shortage for MINI Connected will be resolved, NAM member Rktcynst is reporting that dealers are receiving MY 2012 ordering guide for MINI Countryman. MINI will add a new 'Technology Package' which includes the Center Armrest, Park Distance Control, Harman/Kardon Sound System and MINI Connected or MINI Connected w/Navigation.

Also new will be Black Headlamp Housing! - I wish I had an option for this one on my CM.

Premium Package will change to include Alarm System, Comfort Access, Chrome Line Interior, Auto Dim Rearview Mirror, Rain Sensor/Auto Headlight and Auto A/C. This deletes Dual Pane Sunroof and HK Sound System from the package. (MY2011 Premium Pkg includes Dual Pane Sunroof, Auto A/C, and HK Sounds System)

These changes mean Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof will now become a stand-alone option, not being part of any package. You will have to folk out $1000 for this one. Convenience package will be no longer available meaning Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter and Universal garage-door-opener become stand alone option as well. Regrouping also means putting less popular option items into a package. $500 Alarm system is now part of Premium Package, while $500 Park distance control is grouped into new Technology package.

Pricing information is not available for me yet.

Production for MY 2012 MINI Countryman is scheduled to start July of this year. For those who are waiting for much anticipated Rear Bench Seating option for 5 passenger configuration, the wait might be a bit longer than previously reported as SOP is scheduled for November 2011 (11/11). Black Headlamp Housing has SOP of September 2011 (9/11)

    Actually, not a "complete Order Guide" as the non-S Countryman is not shown.

    No diesel MINI is planned for US consumption, period. Better not get your hopes up.

    If there is any chance, most likely, we will have to wait for the next generation MINIs. (Models with internal F## designation)

    does anyone here know what kind of subwoofers i can put into a 2012 MINI CM. the stock is under the seats and ther are 4 speakers 1 in each door. However, even with 6 speakers it still sounds like crap. I knew I should have gotten the HK Sound system. please if anyone know anything email me at djrob9@yahoo.com
